Hilary Duff is the daughter of most famous producer Susan Duff. At the age of six she and her sister Haylie Duff joined the Cechetti Ballet. But she wants to become an actress. It was her dream and she appeared on small screen in the mini serial called True Women in 1997. In 1999 she starred in the serial The Soul Collector performing the role of Ellie. For that she won a Best Performance (Young Artist Award) in a TV Movie or Pilot.
She also appeared in Casper Meets Wendy (1998) where she played a role of the young witch Wendy. She was very popular after her role of the starring title character Lizzie McGuire in the #1 hit Disney Channel series Lizzie McGuire (2001). It was her most successful movie. Also in 2001 she also made a Disney Channel movie Cadet Kelly.
Hilary Duff continued her upward spiral, guest-starring on TV shows, filming movies, recording albums, and doing television concerts. She also has worked for the charity Kids With a Cause which helps children stricken by poverty, sickness, hunger, abandonment, a lack of education, neglect and/or abuse.

An American actress and singer Hilary Duff was born on 28th sepetember in in Houston, TX. Her parents are Robert Erhard Duff, onwner of convenience stores and Susan Colleen Cobb who is a homemaker. Her middle name Erhard was the maiden name of her paternal grandmother Mary Erhard.
Hilary's mother sent both of her daughter to join acting class. Both the girls were participated in various local productions and wn prizes for it. When she was six years old participated in the ballet The Nutcracker Suite with Columbus Ballet Met in San Antonio with her sister.
The both girls got the professional trining of acting and was relocated to California with their mother. Robert Duff stayed at the family home in Houston to maintain their business. After struggling more both sisters got an opportunity to cast in several television shows.
Hilary Duff actually started her professional career at the age of six only when she joined the Columbus Ballet. After that she played the title role of Lizzie in Disney Channel's international hit series Lizzie McGuire. Also she played the lead role in blockbuster Cadet Kelly which was ranked as Disney Channel's highest rated original movie ever and the top-rated movie on both broadcast.
In August 2002, talented Hilary crossed over to other platforms, making her singing debut with the single "I Can't Wait" on the Lizzie McGuire soundtrack from Walt Disney Records. The song quickly catapulted her charts on Radio Disney. In spring 2003, Hillary appeared Walt Disney Pictures feature film based on Lizzie McGuire and in the MGM Pictures feature film Agent Cody Banks.
She splits her time between homes in Houston and Los Angeles with her parents, sister Haylie and two dogs. When she isn't acting and singing, Hilary is involved in sports and volunteer activities. She is an animal rights advocate and enjoys swimming, tumbling, doing yo-yo tricks and walking on her hands!
Her favourite hobby is 'just hanging' with friends. She also performed on stage with legend Sean Connery in the play, Playing By Heart. In July 2003, Duff began filming Cinderella Story with Warner Brothers. In December 2003 Duff appeared in Cheaper By The Dozen, released by 20th Century Fox. The film features Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt.
Hillary was a member of the 1998 Advisory Board of the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund and is a member of the 2001 Youth Advisory Committee of Kids With A Cause, a non-profit organization of celebrity children working to assist those less fortunate than themselves.
